About Me
I grew up in the 1980's watching my dad taking photos on slide film while in Yellowstone and Yosemite. I bought my first camera in college before I spent the summer of 2000 in London, UK. I took a few fashion photography courses and a stdio lighting class in Boston, MA. Photography has been a hobby.
More recently, I got interested in capturing the 2017 total solar eclipse after attending a lecture about it. A couple photography friends of mine practiced for the big event in August 2017. I managed to capture and process some images I was very happy with.
I'm interested in capturing striking images that I would be happy to hang on my own wall, which is what really motivates my work.
Photography is an escape, an excuse to get out of my normal routine and enjoy the outdoors. It makes me practice the art of observation, keeps my eyes and mind working, considering and enjoying what I see. Sometimes I end up with a image I really like.
